Jonglei’s ‘Prophet’ Dak Kueth says Machar ‘must resign’

'Prophet' Dak Kueth who was among thousands of Lou-Nuer White Army who attacked Bor town and attempted to advance to Juba following the killing of Nuer civilians in December 2013 said he and Lou-Nuer community will now support General Simon Gatwech Dual urging Machar to go immediately.

JUBA – A spiritual leader in South Sudan’s Jonglei state has urged First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar Teny to resign and give chance to others to lead threatening to join forces against those fighting him in the event that the opposition leader refuse to go.

‘Prophet’ Dak Kueth who was among thousands of Lou-Nuer White Army who attacked Bor town and attempted to advance to Juba following the killing of Nuer civilians in December 2013 said he and Lou-Nuer community will now support General Simon Gatwech Dual urging Machar to go immediately.

“This morning I spiritual leader Dak Kueth Deng along with Lou Nuer youth in thousands, announced our full allegiance to support the Kit-Gwang Declaration under the leadership of 1st Lt. Gen. Simon Gatwech Dual, Interim Chairman and Commander in-Chief (C-in-C) of the SPLM/A (IO),” he said in a statement extended to Sudans Post.

“I have made this declaration after Dr. Riek Machar Teny and his sycophants were seen dancing and sending down fake messages to their forces which are emotionally written to continue operations against the Magenis.  I think Dr. Riek Machar has added more fuel to fire since I have seen him celebrating the death of ‘General Nyangor’ who had served his life for 30 years,” he added.

The spiritual leader said there is no reason Machar to “declare war today and kills the commanders left and who have seen his micro-management and naive maladministration […..] If he himself, Dr. Riek Machar Teny, still feels this community, let him follow what Omer Hassan Ahmed Al Bashir did to his nation. Look, he was resigned and gave chance to those who accused him of long stay in power.”

“The same thing should happen to Dr. Riek Machar Teny, he must resign and leaves others continue the rest of lives. Or otherwise, I and those who rest up hands to seat him down, must die together with the innocent Nuer sons and daughters who are still dying in UNMISS, Refugee camps, and also other helpless populations dying in the floats.”

Your website is doing great, and I think you would do much better if you could edit all your articles for clarity before posting them.
