JUBA – Juba County Commissioner Emmanuel Tete Ezbon issued a local order on Wednesday, taking a hard line against street vendors and car washing activities on major roads.

The order designates Kubiri Haboba and other busy roads as off-limits for street vendors.

“I hereby announce a ban on all business activities along Juba County’s main roads and Kubiri Haboba. Vendors are no longer permitted to display goods outside their shops,” Ezbon declared in a statement.

He explained the initiative aims to improve traffic flow and maintain a clean environment within Juba County.

Ezbon highlighted the growing problem of improper waste disposal contributing to traffic congestion. He emphasized that street vendors are prohibited from littering or selling goods on main roads.

“Washing vehicles along Juba County’s main roads is also banned,” Ezbon added.

“Furthermore, dumping garbage after collection is strictly prohibited. Non-compliance with this order will result in confiscation of goods belonging to those who violate the directive,” he added.
