Eco Bus attacked in Juba-Bor Road ambush, driver critically injured

In a statement released following the incident, Echo Bus said all passengers are safe, with some sustaining minor injuries.

Echo Bus attacked in ambush Along Juba-Bor highway, driver critically injured
JUBA – An Echo Bus Company vehicle travelling from Bor to Juba has come under attack in an ambush along the Juba-Bor Highway near the Mongiri area on Wednesday morning, the company says.
In a brief statement released following the incident, Echo Bus said all passengers were safe, with some sustaining minor injuries.
“Our bus had fallen into an ambush this morning coming from Bor to Juba near Mongiri. The passengers are safe, with only slight injuries. The driver got a serious gunshot wound,” the company said.
The company added that it would provide verified information on casualties once details are confirmed.
Police authorities have not yet issued a statement or comment regarding the incident.
The Juba-Bor Highway has previously witnessed security incidents, raising concerns over the safety of travellers using the route.
