A local government official who requested not to be named for fear of reprisal said at least 20 civilians have been confirmed dead and unknown but huge number of civilians has been wounded and that efforts were underway to count the victims among the civil population.
“As I am talking, until this moment, 17 people have been confirmed killed today and we are working to also know the exact number because we expected the number to be higher among the civil population,” the official said.
An eyewitnesses said the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces “seems to be in control of the army warehouse, but we cannot confirm because we still hear sound of guns in the direction of the warehouse.”
