JUBA – At least three activists have been arrested by South Sudan Police amid the ongoing protest over the death of Tricia C, a prominent female artist who died from a terrible road accident yesterday.
The prominent singer Tricia died at Juba Teaching Hospital where she was receiving treatment after being knocked down by a water tanker on boda-boda at Mobil roundabout on Monday.
Two people also lost their lives in the same fatal accident which involved a water tanker, boda-boda and several cars.
The protestors gathered at Mobil roundabout this morning where Singer Tricia was knocked down, with many holding placards to demand “justice for Sister Tricia C.”
The three activist arrested are Jame David Kolok, Executive Director Foundation for Democracy and Accountable Governance (FODAG), Wani Michael, Executive Director of Okay Africa Foundation, and Manasseh Mathiang, a musician and founding member of AnaTaban.
“We are being taken to the police, myself, Wani Michael, Mannaseh Mathiang. We need your support,” Jame David Kolok wrote it on his facebook page.
