JUBA – A high-level delegation from the African Union (AU) Ad Hoc committee will on Sunday visit South Sudan’s capital Juba to assess the implementation process of the revitalized peace agreement, according to a foreign ministry official.

The official who did not want to be named for not having been authorized to speak to the media said the delegation includes members of the AU ad hoc committee on South Sudan and will arrive in Juba on Sunday, October 23rd.

“Next Sunday, the 23rd of October 2022, a high-level delegation will visit Juba with the aim of assessing the implementation process of the peace agreement and it is good for them to come in the pace of the recent progress such as the graduation of the unified forces,” the official said.

The senior government diplomat further said the delegation will meet President Salva Kiir Mayardit and First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar Teny who is also the chairman and commander in chief of the main armed opposition SPLM/SPLA (IO), an important signatory to the 2018 peace agreement.

“The team will meet the president, the first vice president and other signatories to the revitalized peace agreement which was signed under the auspices of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD),” the official added.

Iam requesting African Union to help the government of south Sudan in term of security let the current forces loyal to president Salvaklir mayardit remain to protect the nation until the end of election and others forces loyal to the different factions remain on their current positions until the end of election after 24 months from now , I’m your fellow friend Ruach Wal keat who live in juba city and a warrant officer in South Sudan national police service assurimg you about south Sudan security that may be welfare for south Sudan citizens, let all those forces be separated from each others because Riek machar wants to take the leadership from President salvakiir by forces that was the root cause of the conflict in 2013 and 2016
