Al-Burhan arrives in Juba

JUBA – Leader of Sudan’s Sovereign Council General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan has arrived in Juba this evening ahead of the ceremony of signing of the Sudanese deal scheduled for tomorrow, South Sudan president has announced.

According to a statement by the presidency, A-Burhan was received at Juba airport by President Salva Kiir Mayardit.

“President Salva Kiir received the head of Sudan’s sovereign Council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, upon his arrival at Juba International Airport,” the presidency said.

“President al-Burhan is here for the final signing ceremony of the Sudan’s Peace Agreement in Juba, on 3rd October 2020 between the Sudanese Transitional Government and the Revolutionary Movements, under the mediation process of President Salva Kiir Mayardit,” it added.
