Wadi Sedna airbase is located in Kereri locality, Omdurman, and is where the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) warplanes are based.
Al-Burhan, who is also the commander in chief of the SAF, also had a cup of coffee with tea vendors at Hara 100, an area in Kereri locality in Omdurman, before visiting the airbase.
At the Wadi Sedna airbase, Burhan told soldiers that “this war is about Sudan, not about any person or institution.”
He said he was there to “bring to you the greetings of the people of the general command [of the armed forces], where he have been based since the beginning of the conflict in mid-April.”
Burhan’s latest visits come as a sign of the ongoing escalation in the conflict between the army and the RSF. The later had attempted earlier this week to take over the armored corps in Shajera, an area south of the capital Khartoum.
The two sides have been battling for control of the capital since April, when the RSF attacked several government and army positions in Khartoum, sparking conflict.
The fighting has killed hundreds of people and displaced thousands more.
