JUBA – South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit has this morning travelled to Jonglei state’s capital Bor by road, according to two senior officials in Juba and Bor.
This is the first visit for the South Sudanese head of state since the outbreak of war in December 2013 and the second since touring Bahr el Ghazal region last year when he promised to tour the 10 states.
Speaking to Sudans Post this evening, a Jonglei state official said President Salva Kiir was traveling to Bor by road and that they were informed of the visit at short notice.
“The President is coming here today and he is coming by road,” the official who do not want to be named said from Bor. “We at the state government were informed at short notice.”
Another staffer at the presidency confirmed the trip and said Kiir would return to the capital tomorrow Friday.
The President Salva Kiir Mayardit is just waked up after when the two seniors generals spoken out underline the failure of the SPLM party. The President took all people he suspected them that, they might set coup and it was a surprise when he go with honorable Nhial Deng Nhial, honorable Michael Makuei Lueth, internal chief general Akol Koor Kuc, the current chief of staff general Johnson Juma Okot, former Defense Minister general Kuol Manyang Juuk and many more others. It show the President Salva Kiir Mayardit is in trouble within his own Ruling party SPLM. General Daniel Awet Akot said, when they have a meeting as a Party SPLM members, the President Salva Kiir has nothing to show them about plans for development adding, they always ending up quarrels with each other. General Akot also said, the Khartoums people have been hijacked the SPLM party and even they are not longer respected by jr, members and he believes the vision of the SPLA/SPLM is not any more asking President to hand over his leadership to someone else like his Presidential Minister Nhial Deng Nhial to clean up the mess however, the pew of the President have rejected the call for President Kiir Mayardit to step down.
