Alic and his entourage were in the capital, Aweil to oversee the construction work.
He said a team from the bank would be sent for final touches on the building.
“As we go forward, it would be imperative for the board and the leadership of the Bank of South Sudan to see what needs to be done so that we can repair the buildings that are inside the fence. Going forward, we would also need to plan to have a functional launch. In the next one month to three months, I will be sending a team from Juba to come and look at the buildings inside the fence”, said Alic.
The governor urged citizens to eliminate poverty by investing in agriculture.
For his part, the state Governor Tong Aken Ngor said Aweil Rice scheme requires funding to fight hunger.
“We have Aweil Rice scheme, a national project requiring the national government to fund. This will solve a lot of problems in the country,” he explained.
Alic also visited Lakes State to acquaint himself with bank and financial matters.
