JUBA – The governor of South Sudan’s Central Equatoria State Governor, Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani, on Monday sent off the County Commissioners of Lainya, Yei, and Morobo to their respective assignments.
Addressing the Commissioners in Juba, Governor Jadalla stressed the importance of stabilizing the security situation in their counties to allow residents to engage in agricultural activities.
He noted that Lainya, Yei, and Morobo could potentially become a “food basket” for the state.
“Go on the ground and ensure there is security and economic empowerment through cooperative societies,” Governor Jadalla said, adding that focus should be on improving service delivery to civilians.
“I want you to keep a good legacy for yourselves and work with the people on the ground. Cooperate with security organs in your counties,” the Governor said.
The delegation of the three County Commissioners was seen off by the Governor and State government officials at the State government secretariat in Juba.
