JUBA – The Governor of Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel Adil Anthony, has promised women of his administration readiness to implement the 35% affirmative action in the upcoming formation of the state’s government.

Governor Adil made this pledge in his office during the meeting he held with the Women Monthly Forum (WMF), a coalition of women leaders drawn from the academia, civil society organizations, women groups and political parties.

“I challenged you, the women’s block, to engage the holdout groups composed ofGen. Pual Malong Awan, Pagan Amun, and Gen.Thomas Cirillo to fully consent into the peace process as the way of salvaging the senseless suffering of the innocent citizens,” he told the women.

Governor Emmanuel has reassured the women block of the unity government commitment to implement the agreement both in letter and spirit.

“The revitalized peace agreement is moving on the desired track as the parties to the revitalized peace deal are already on their final touches on submission of nominees to the various portfolios. I call for patience as the parties per take in this noble course,” he said.
