JUBA – South Sudan’s former defense minister and senior presidential advisor Kuol Manyang Juuk has said that the country’s leaders are suspicious against one another.
Juuk who was speaking during an interview with a local radio station in Jonglei state’s capital Bor also said he would go to Juba to see if President Salva Kiir would need his advise.
“Let me tell you, the people are suspicious against one anyone there,” Juuk stated last week when asked about his role in the country as senior presidential advisor.
“When I go to Juba, I will go and sit with the president and will see if he would want my advise. If he want that, I will advise him,” he added.
Kuol has been making statements ranging from admitting government failures to corruption in recent weeks.
His comments followed remarks by former presidential advisor Daniel Awet Akot who asked President Salva Kiir to resign from power last week and hand over to presidential minister Nhial Deng Nhial.
