BREAKING | Female bodyguard of Western Bahr el Ghazal governor found dead

A 32 years old female bodyguard of the governor of South Sudan Western Equatoria state Sarah Cleto Hassan Rial has been found dead, according to state government officials.

JUBA – A close bodyguard of governor of South Sudan’s Western Bahr el Ghazal state Sarah Cleto Hassan Rial has been found dead at her apartment in the state capital Wau, according to a senior state government official.

A senior state government official said the Ogena Elias Ibrahim, a mother of three and who he has described as one of the closest bodyguards of the governor was found dead in her house on Sunday in Wau.

Eye Radio reports that the deceased is a 2nd lieutenant police officer and it remains unclear what led to her demise.

“There are some rumors that she died at the governor’s house, but she died at her house in Lok-lokko residential area. They found her lying on the bed,” Arkangelo Athian Teng, the state advisor on legal affairs said, according to Eye Radio
