JUBA — Renewed gunfights broke out this morning in Jebel Dinka, a suburb of Juba, among the Mundari cattlemen raising fears among residents amid state government’s calls to end communal violence.

This came after eight people were killed in fighting between Tali and Kobura on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

The clashes forced several families to flee to Juba town and are now staying without food or proper shelter.

An eye witness told Sudans Post that renewed clashes among the Mundari cattlemen broke out at 6 AM in Jebel Dinka.

“We are under gunshots these ends of Jebel Dinka,” the eye witness told Sudans Post this morning.

“The rain made it stop a bit; we are hearing heavy gunshots like PKM. It started around the early hours of 6AM. We were told that it was Mundari persuading themselves,” he said.
