JUBA – South Sudan’s holdout opposition leader General Stephen Buay Rolnyang has said that he is ready to form an alliance with General Simon Gatwech Dual and Real-SPLM leader Pagan Amum Okiech to remove President Kiir from power.

This comes hours after forming the South Sudan Patriotic Movement/Army with the aim of fighting the government of President Salva Kiir Mayardit which he has described as a “disgrace” to the people of South Sudan.

“I will form an alliance with General Simon Gatwech Dual and people like Pagan Amum because President Salva Kiir Mayardit does not understand anything other than the sound of the gun,” Buay said from Kenyan capital Nairobi.

He said he has chosen to remove Kiir militarily because the South Sudanese leader will not honor any agreement saying the revitalized peace agreement can end the suffering of the people of South Sudan if it is honored.

“There is no difference between the peace agreement signed by the SPLM-IO and the SPLM-IG, the government of South Sudan, and any future agreement that would be signed with the same government, they will dishonor it,” he said.

“So, any peace agreement being negotiated or will be signed in Rome is not an exception,” he added.
