General Cirilo reconstitutes NAS foreign relations committee after mass resignation

WASHINGTON – South Sudan holdout opposition leader General Thomas Cirilo Swaka has reconstituted the National Salvation Front’s foreign relations committee whose members defected during a mass resignation last year.

In October, Lado Jada Kwajok who was the Chairperson of the committee resigned to form a new group in protest to “one-man” rule.

In a statement on Thursday, Cirilo reconstituted the committee and appointed Faris Matthew Richard as the committee’s chairperson, Victoria Ben Ding as its deputy and Dr. Paul Izard as it’s secretary.

Other committee members include Henry Wani Rondyang, Flavia Christopher Sindani, Napoleon Wani Lasu and Sebit Juma Durfu.

The prominent opposition leader further “cordially congratulate the committee members on their appointment and wish them success in advancing the realisation of the vision, mission and objectives of the National Salvation Front.”
