Governor Adil sacks Juba mayor

The governor of South Sudan’s Central Equatoria State Emmanuel Adil Anthony on Tuesday dismissed the mayor of Juba town Michael Ladu Allah Jabu along with his deputies Thiik Thiik Mayardit, and Federico Nyokun Wani.

JUBA, JUNE 28, 2023 (SUDANS POST) – The governor of South Sudan’s Central Equatoria State Emmanuel Adil Anthony on Tuesday dismissed the mayor of Juba town Michael Ladu Allah Jabu along with his deputies Thiik Thiik Mayardit, and Federico Nyokun Wani.

Thiik is the deputy mayor for infrastructure and development, while Nyokun is the deputy mayor for administration and finance.

The decree for the dismissal of the mayor and his deputies was made public by the office of the governor on its Facebook page.

In another decree, Governor Anthony named Lainya County Commissioner Emmanuel Khamis Richard as the caretaker mayor of the city.

He also appointed Martin Simon Wani as CEO of the JCC and upgraded the position to grade one director-general.
