Governor Cleto, Kiir discuss security in Western Bahr el Ghazal

JUBA – The governor of South Sudan’s Western Bahr el Ghazal state, Sarah Cleto Rial, has this afternoon met President Salva Kiir Mayardit and discussed the general security situation in her state, according to a statement by the presidency.

Cleto has been in Wau for the pass week developing security mechanisms on how to protect the residents of the state with security forces there.

“H.E. President Salva Kiir in his office this Tuesday, met with the Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State Hon. Sarah Cleto Rial and discussed a number of issues concerning her State,” the presidency said in the statement seen by Sudans Post.

“The Governor briefed H.E, President Salva Kiir on the general situation in Western Bahr el Ghazal State and the ongoing projects undertaken by the State Administration,” the statement added.

According to the statement, the South Sudanese woman politician said she is ” working in collaboration with the Security sector to ensure that the security situation in Western Bahr el Ghazal State remains calm and stable.”
