JUBA – Authorities in South Sudan’s Lakes state have announced the killing of one of the police officers there – along with two other people – in what they suspect to be a revenge killing.
According to the Lakes state police spokesman Major Elijah Mabor, the police officer and the other two people were killed in separate incidents in Rumbek West of Lakes.
“According to the information from a reliable source, we have been told that the attack was an act of revenge for somebody who got killed earlier at the place called Padai in Rumbek East County,” said Major Mabor, according to Eye Radio.
The Lakes state media officer added that a separate incident resulted in the wounding of one person at Aluak Luak Payam.
