JUBA – South Sudan’s senior presidential advisor and former minister of defense Kuol Manyang Juuk has denied social media speculations that he has been arrested after he admitted failure of the ruling SPLM party in a damning interview.

Last week, during a visit to Bor where he attended the swearing in ceremony of the newly reconstituted Jonglei state government, Juuk said the government has failed and killed citizens despite pre-independence promises of a free and a democratic society.

He reiterated during an interview with Juba-based journalist Mathiang Cirilo that the SPLM party has failed to deliver services right from the end of the Sudanese civil war to South Sudan’s independence in 2011.

“We killed ourselves. We hate ourselves and this is the challenge we have now made. I am not going to congratulate you until you prosper in providing services to the people you are serving”, Juuk stated Lat week.

Yesterday, social media rumors speculated that Juuk has been arrested over those remarks and was being detained at the notorious National Security Service upon orders of President Salva Kiir Mayardit.

Speaking to Sudans Post this morning, Juuk denied the social media speculations and said he was in Bor and is not under arrest as speculated.

“Currently, I am speaking to you from Bor town. I am not under arrest as speculated and I don’t think there is any thing as such being planned. I haven’t said anything wrong that can warrant my arrest,” he told Sudans Post from Jonglei state capital Bor on phone.

“So, dismiss those claims, I am safe and not under arrest. I will return to Juba today,” he added.

That Mathiang Cirillo doesn’t exist. Simply saying that SPLM failed to deliver the services to people isn’t warrant arrest. If there some guys with balls in the government. Then they shouldn’t have let Mr. Riek Machar out alive after the shutout outside the J1 complex in 2016.

If it were to be other countries where there are men and leaders, then Mr. Riek Machar should have been rotting in jail or hanged long time ago. The man is a snag or an existential problem to South Sudan and the South Sudanese people. During our genuine war of independence, brave and visionary South Sudanese were unnecessary eliminated simply because they have different ideas or were considered traitors to SPLM/A and Southern Sudanese people’s cause.

But Mr. Riek Machar, his bunch of traitors and foreign puppet/stooges seem have been insulated by some kind magic where they can always mess around with South Sudan and the South Sudanese people and then always allowed to get away with grand treason.
