JUBA – The government of Warrap state has denied allegations that security forces there have executed two men by firing squad on the orders of the state’s governor, Gen. Aleu Anyieny Aleu saying the victims were killed by unknown gunmen.

This comes after an accusation last week by the community of Tonj North that the governor ordered soldiers in the area to execute two men accused of theft and resisting arrest.

“On date 11 November 2021, the governor of Warrap state honorable Aleu Ayieny through his notorious officer called Madut Akol arrested three persons from our area,” a member of the community in Tonj North is quoted by Eye Radio as saying.

“Dol Manyang Dol, Majok Awan Dut and Laul Koor Abo were found in Awul market taking tea and were taken to an unknown location before they were killed on 12 November,” he added, pointing out that the two were killed on the governor’s orders.

But in reaction, the minister of information of Warrap state Ring Deng Dau denied the allegation and labeled the people behind the claims against the governor as peace spoilers who he said want to disturb peace in the state.

“I would like to dispute propagandas being circulated in social media by anti-peace complainers that Warrap state has executed two people in recent days in Warrap town,” Dau said, according to the Eye Radio report.

“This is unfounded information aimed at tarnishing the image of the Warrap State government as well as destabilizing the harmony in the state,” the senior state government official further added.

How will you denying such when the names are there? Madut Akol was been ordered to execute Mr. Dol Manyang Dol and Awan Majok Dut. Many people have reported that, they were picked up in Awul Payam in Atok Buk Alok community. The governor need to take responsibility instead of saying it is a lies.
