Jonglei state to begin mass male circumcision campaign  

According to a Jonglei health ministry official, the campaign is set to begin today at Malual-Chat military barracks outside the Jonglei state capital Bor.

JUBA – The government of South Sudan’s Jonglei state has announced that it is kicking off a mass male circumcision campaign as part of efforts to reduce high of sexually transmitted infections in the restive state.

According to a Jonglei health ministry official, the campaign is set to begin today at Malual-Chat military barracks outside the Jonglei state capital Bor.

“The process will begin with cooperation between South Sudan People’s Defense Forces and the ministry of health,” the official who requested to be named told Sudans Post from Bor.

    Barbaric. The male organ was created with a protective skin. Cutting the male member reduces nerves and exposes the sensitive skin in a way it was not supposed to be. Silly and barbaric. Outlawed in many western nations. And righfully so.

    Why not cut of nose and ears also in the name of hygiene. Silly silly
