JUBA – A senior South Sudan opposition official is telling Sudans Post that Hotels in Juba are turning into jails after he and eleven other opposition delegates were locked inside their rooms and denied even going to rest room by the hotel administration.
Speaking to Sudans Post this evening, General David Nyang, a representative of South Sudan Opposition Alliance at CTSAMVM, said they have been locked inside their room by the manager and someone has fled with the keys saying the hotel rooms have become a jail.
“Someone came according to them (hotel management) and too the key and now they are telling us that he won’t be back until tomorrow. So they are telling us to stay inside the rooms until tomorrow without going to the bath rooms,” he said.
“So it is clear that the hotels have become jails and we know who is behind this conspiracy against opposition delegates,” he added.
The latest development comes two days after at least nine Juba hotels asked the government in a notice addressed to the presidential security advisor and chairperson of National Transitional Committee, Tutkew Gatluak, to pay $10 million outstanding fees that hasn’t been paid since earlier last year.
I do support action taken by hotel mânger.why do they choice to live in hotel wasting public money while they have homes and are not foringers in the country.they delay peace talk while sitting in hotel eating nice food which their wives can not cook at home.they must pay money otherwise let them die in hotel .thêse are curopt element whom looted wealth ò this country.10 million usd is public money which should go for development not into stomach of useless politicians.
