JUBA – South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir has ousted Lokoli Ame Bullen from his position as Chief Administrator of the Greater Pibor Administrative Area, replacing him with Gola Boyoi, former Chairperson of the South Sudan Youth Union.
The dismissal Ame was announced via a Presidential Decree broadcasted on state-own South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) on Monday night.
In a parallel decree, President Kiir formally installed Gola Boyoi as the new Chief Administrator of the Greater Pibor Administrative Area.
Boyoi relinquished his leadership of the South Sudan Youth Union in December of the previous year following the completion of his five-year term.
Boyoi’s appointment follows his recent public criticism of former Defense Minister David Yau Yau’s decision to defect from the SPLM in Government to the SPLM-In Opposition.
Additionally, President Kiir has relieved undersecretaries for defense and veteran affairs at the ministry of defense, Atem Atem Kiir and Bair Atem Ajang, from their positions.
Their replacements are Kuol Deng Kuol, who assumes the role of Undersecretary for Defense, and Akich Deng Alui, who takes over as Undersecretary for Veteran Affairs.
