Kiir fires Rumbek Center commissioner, names replacement

JUBA – President Salva Kiir Mayardit has sacked the commissioner of Rumbek Center Commissioner, Kaman Matur Ajak, of South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA).

In a decree read out on the state-own South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC), Kiir did not give reasons as to why the top local official laws removed, as required by the revitalized peace agreement.

In a separate decree, Kiir appointed Dut Manak Akuot, who is also a representative of South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA), as the new commissioner of Rumbek Central County.
