JUBA — South Sudan’s PeesidentSalva Kiir Mayardit has replaced the chief administrator of the Greater Ruweng Administrative Area and appointed another person as a replacement.
In a decree read out on the state-owned South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC), Kiir dismissed William Chol Awanlith and appointed Peter Dau Chopkuer as the replacement.
The decree did not cite reasons for the changes. Kiir cited powers under given to him by the constitution and the revitalized peace agreement.
