JUBA – South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit will address the nation when the country’s Reconstituted Transitional National Legislative Assembly (R-TNLA) convene for the first time on Tuesday, a top lawmaker has said.

The clerk of the parliament Makuac Makuac says the main agenda would be the President Salva Kiir Mayardit’s address to the nation after which the parliament will convene a normal sitting.

“The main agenda of the inauguration is the President of the Republic of South Sudan going to address the nation through the parliament and then open the parliament officially and after that, we will have the normal setting of the parliament,” Makuac said.

For his part, Nathanial Oyet, the SPLM-IO-nominated first deputy of the speaker of parliament said there exist challenges such as in the formation of specialized committees as some parties have not submitted list of their nominees for the committees.

“What we still don’t have in place are specialized committee chairpersons and their deputies, we are also waiting for other parties to submit their nominees,” Oyet said.

South Sudan is a good place for the people who are in the same religious,, genders,,, rather than a single person who isolated the people of the country for long periods of time.
