JUBA – The deputy chairman of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM-IO) Henry Odwar has resigned from his position as South Sudan’s minister of mining with effect from today.
In a brief resignation letter extended to Sudans Post, Odwar who is a staunch advocate for the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement and the second most powerful SPLM-IO official said he will resign effective from today without elaborating more.
“With effect from today, 24.00hrs. Wednesday 11th August 2021, I Henry Dilah Odwar resigns from being minister of mining,” Odwar said in the brief resignation letter that was sent to Sudans Post.
Though it was not clear what promoted the resignation of the top government official, frustration has grown as of recent against the slow implementation of the revitalized peace agreement.
Disagreements have been growing within the main armed opposition Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in Opposition with the group’s former chief of staff General Simon Gatwech Dual declaring First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar Teny’s ouster last week.
The self-imposed decision led to bloody fighting among rival soldiers that are each loyal to Machar and General Simon Gatwech.

I went and studied civil engineering at the University of McGill, Montreal. Canada. I used to go to Winnipeg, my two direct relatives, there. There is a south Sudanese food. ‘Ayɔ̈t (alight bread), aKöu or wal wal and fried it with dried fish or dried meat ‘it is pretty much tasty here in Eastern bank of the the Nile or Upper Nile. Aköu or wal wal is almost a state food. In West bank of the Nile, Ayɔt, Aköu and in Bantus of countries, Kenya, Asida (Ugali), Uganda or all African countries. In Kenya, there is what they ‘sukuma (kale) wiki—-to push the week away, in Ki- swahili’. I learned these nonsense. When, I went and studied at Nakuru high school less than twenty (20) years ago. Ki-swahili is just an offshoot of Arabic and African languages, mostly the Bantuses.
Tanganyika + Zanzibar = Tantzania. They speak very good ‘Ki-swahili in Dar’. Dar El Salam, a place of Islam. Dar-fur, a place of Furs. When the Muonyjaangs/Jaangs/Jenges/Dinaks tell that we are not equal you low lives, we tell you the truths. We are the Ancients. We have never ever and will never be bullied by low lives ever ever again.
We have been fight the evils all our our lives, and the evils think, they can used usual intrigues again. Good luck trying is not a crime.
