NAIROBI – A senior opposition official allied to former South Sudan army chief, General Paul Malong Awan, has left the Malong-led South Sudan United Front (SSUF/A) and joined the government of President Salva Kiir Mayardit, asking the South Sudanese head of state for forgiveness, according to a statement.

Mario Malong Deng, the SSUF/A head of humanitarian affairs and emergency relief said in an open letter directed to President Salva Kiir and seen by Susans Post that “too many evil-generated rebellion in our country will never defeat your government.

”I must admit we are defeated completely only that the act of surrendering is very difficult for those  who does not realize that the battle is lost and forgetting that to live the life that God has planned for us, which he promises is best (Romans 8:28; Jeremiah 29:11), we need to wave the white flag of surrender.”

He has asked Kiir to forgive him saying “I declare my unconditional surrender to you and to the government of my beloved country South Sudan, please pardon and forgive me, my rebellion was a work of evil and I truly regret it.”

Your words and actions for doing that is absolutely very good to the best of knowledge and to the entire South Sudanese people if you said it before almighty God and maintain it, will grant you a position to hold, because you rebels without a person you killed.keep on you are on a good track.
