The incident occurred in Angot village over the weekend.
The Warguet Boma youth leader, Paul Kuch Akot said a family disagreement between Ben Garang Deng and his wife prompted the former to burn the house.
Akot said Deg’s son jumped into the burning house as fire destroyed his properties.
“The young man was too angry about the decision his father took. So he immediately threw himself into the fire and got burnt,” he explained.
The youth leader urged families to redress their grievances through courts of law.
Early this year, a man also set his house ablaze in Akon village of Gogrial West county in Warrap State following misunderstanding with his community members.
Cases of domestic violence are on the rise due to economic hardships in the country.
