RUBKONA – A 33-year-old man, identified only as Samuel, tragically took his own life by hanging himself in Rubkona County, Unity State.

Speaking to Sudans Post on Monday, Rubkona County Police Deputy Director Franco Mayiel said the incident occurred at 6:30 on a Sunday morning.

The motive behind the suicide remains unclear, leaving the man’s colleagues in a state of shock.

“On Sunday morning, a man tragically committed suicide without any known conflicts or altercations with others in Rubkona. His colleagues are as stunned as we are, unable to comprehend why he took such a drastic step,” explained Mayiel.

“Despite our inquiries, his colleagues mentioned that the deceased did not communicate anything that would hint at his intentions,” he said.

The police disclosed that the deceased was employed at a money transfer company named Kulikiir at Rubkona market.

However, there seems to be no apparent reason for his untimely demise.

“Using a rope, he chose to end his life through hanging. His name was Samuel, and he was 33 years old,” added Police Officer Mayiel.

The community remains in shock, grappling with the sudden loss and seeking understanding in the wake of this tragic event.
