BOR – Jonglei state Police are searching for a man suspected to have killed a fish trader in Bor County.

The incident occurred in Anyidi payam on the bank of the Nile River.

The deceased has been identified as Eric Yassin, a 32-year old Ugandan.

Jonglei state police commissioner, Major General Elia Costa told Sudans Post that an investigation into the motive behind the incident has commenced.

He said the deceased was killed while sleeping in a tent by the river bank.

“Up to now, nobody has been arrested because the place is far from Bor town. They were fishing about 10 to 15 kilometers from Bor town. The fish trader was in Anyidi payam of Bor County and he is from Uganda,” stressed Costa.

He assured the public that police would intensity the hunt for the suspected killer.

Attempts to reach the Ugandan community leader in Jonglei were unsuccessful.
