JUBA – South Sudan parties have this afternoon reached an agreement on how to share power in the states, a senior government official told Sudans Post.
The agreement which was reached this afternoon provides for the distribution of deputy governors, state parliament speakers, state ministers, and other senior state positions, among the signatories of the revitalized peace agreement.
“We have reached an agreement and the next step is to design which position in this state goes ton which party,” the government official said on condition of anonymity because he was “not authorized to speak to the media.”
