JUBA – South Sudan police in the capital Juba have arrested a medical doctor at Juba Teacher Hospital over sexual scandal involving a lot of young girls and women, according to a senior medical worker at the public hospital.
Dr. Daniel Machur, one of doctors at Juba Teaching Hospital, said Dr. Taban Martin Vitaly who was previously the director of Real Medicine Foundation inside Juba Teaching Hospital has been sexually abusing young girls and women at his office since 2015.
“According to video evidence, it started in 2015, when Taban would bring in young girls and women to his office, which was located at Juba Teaching Hospital. He would record the act,” Dr. Machur told reporters yesterday.
“Video records show nine victims of sexual exploitation and rape,” he said, adding that he has requested for deregistration of the doctor and compensation of the victims.
