JUBA – Juba University student, Babu Emmanuel Lokiri, who is on trial for allegedly killing three children in August at a Rock city home has denied all charges against him, hours after mother of the kids was arrested at Juba International Airport trying to sneak out of the country aboard an EgyptAir plane.

Emmanuel was arrested in earlier August after police said he may have involved in the killing of the three sibling which sparked public uproar across the country.

Emmanuel allegedly used a machete to slaughter 9-year-old Naomi, 7-year-old Blessing and 4-year old Nor Edward.

Simon Akenyg Saro, a member of the defense team for Emmanuel dismissed the charges against his client and said they would question the investigator, saying  arguments made the prosecutor were based on “made-up” stories and not facts.

“All we know is that our client is innocent so far. We will question the investigator in something called cross-examination which always reveals new things that are not known,” he said.

“We will not take time because we have concise points to present before the court. All that has been said such as videos are just stories that are not true,” he concluded.
