KHARTOUM, MAY 15, 2023 (SUDANS POST) – The leader of Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo “Hemedti” has denied claims making rounds on social media that he has succumbed to injury he alleged sustained while battling the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF).

Throughout last weekend, local social media activists in Sudan have been circulating claims that the paramilitary commander succumbed to injuries he allegedly sustained during clashes in Khartoum with the army.

But in a recorded statement posted on his social media Twitter handle, Hemedti said that he is moving with his forces in all parts of the capital Khartoum and accused the Sudanese army of fabricating information about his death.

“They are now fabricating the killing of Mohamed Hamdan (Hemedti). These are propagandas, these are false information which shows that they are defeated and that is why the resorted to these propaganda,” he said.

He further vowed to arrest the head of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Sudanese army commander in chief General Abdelfattah al Burhan and that even if he died, he would die like any other member of the RSF.

“I am alive and with my forces and if I am martyred, I will be a martyr just like any member of the Rapid Support Forces, from the officers and none-commissioned officers and soldiers,” he said.

“Preach well and victory is eminent, and I would like to tell Burhan that you will soon be in our captivity,” he added.
