RSF launches deadly assault on army command headquarters in Khartoum

The rebellious Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on Saturday launched a deadly assault on the Sudanese army general command headquarters in Khartoum with eyewitnesses talking of RSF advance, residents say.

JUBA, SEPTEMBER 16, 2023 (SUDANS POST) – The rebellious Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on Saturday launched a deadly assault on the Sudanese army general command headquarters in Khartoum with eyewitnesses talking of RSF advance, residents say.

The fighting, one eyewitness told Sudans Post, begun at dawn on Saturday and has continued while others saying that the RSF has advanced, and sound of guns could be heard inside or just outside the army command headquarters.

“We can now see the RSF forces advancing towards the General Command of the Sudanese army and there are already sound of guns inside the army command headquarters. We have seen Sudanese army jets in the sky and the fighting is ongoing,” says eyewitness.
