JUBA – South Sudan’s National Security Service (NSS) has become one of the government’s most feared tools in its campaign to silence dissent in the world’s youngest country, according to the Human Rights Watch.

The rights body urged in a report released on Friday the region to pressure South Sudan’s Reconstituted Transitional Government of National Unity (R-TGONU) in reforming the agency as per the revitalized peace agreement.

“The NSS has become a feared agency and a vital tool in the government’s campaign of silencing dissent,” the Human Rights Watch said Friday.

“The African Union and South Sudan’s neighbors should apply consistent diplomatic pressure to ensure these reforms. This could help transform the NSS into an agency that respects fundamental rights and freedoms not only in South Sudan, but the region,” it added.

The rights group further urged the government to investigate abuses by the National Security Service and hold to account perpetrators including senior commanders of the agency perpetuating crimes.

“South Sudanese authorities should also immediately open an investigation into the security service abuses and hold officers to account while ensuring redress for victims,” it said.

“The investigation should include the role of senior leadership of the NSS in perpetuating abuses,” it added.

Those so-called human right watch must pack their bags up and move away in peace out of South Sudan and move else where. Human rights are always abused in the US—-where the damned office in New York (where the damned (HRW), In the devil infested island of England, South Africa and other countries. But the vermins/parasites don’t know what their right places are. They always would be ‘bombed to extinction/oblivion—-pure HATRED and RACISM’ We are the Ancient Egytian Egyptian fools.
