KHARTOUM – South Sudan’s undersecretary of the ministry of information Paul Jacob Kumbo, has died in the Sudanese capital Khartoum this afternoon, according to a senior information ministry official.
While the cause of his death remains unclear, the senior information ministry official said Jacob has been sick for a while, and was rushed to the Sudanese capital Khartoum in late September, a few weeks following his appointment as undersecretary.
“This is to confirm that Honorable Paul Jacob, the undersecretary in the ministry of information has died in the Sudanese capital today,” the official said on condition of anonymity because he is “not allowed to speak to you (media).”
