Nuer society political future in dilemma!

The people who love money and warmongers arguing to cause the wider disagreement in rank and files of SPLM/A-IO that the enemy breakthrough.

First of all, I would like to take you back to the root cause of 1997-2003 disagreement among Nuer military commanders with their chairman and C-IN-C of SSIM.

The so-called Khartoum Peace Accords (KPA) of 1997 was signed by Dr.Machar for the sake of determination for the people of Southern Sudan to accord their right in an internationally supervised referendum which resulted in the independent the Republic of South Sudan on the July 09th, 2011.

Dr. Riek Machar went to Khartoum to implement the agreement in a letter and spirit before pre-transitional security arrangement like what he did in 2018 while he left behind his military high command council In the bushes of Southern Sudan.
During that time, generals used to calls him (Dr.Machar) to keep on updates about peace progress in Khartoum but never went well there until line cutoffs after many attempts by the loyal forces on the ground.

That made them (generals) furious to deserted from Dr. Machar’s camp and realigned with Dr. John Garang, SPLM/A mainstream.
Among them were CDR Koang Banypiny, CDR Manyal Kueth, plus many other while CDR Simon Gatwech Dual remain loyal to Dr. Machar.
As a result of that defection, CDR Simon Gatwech Dual fought in self-defense until his forces got ride to kills those generals in Lou Nuer Land
Meanwhile, CDR Paulino Matip Nhial rejoined the north Sudan under western operation in Bentiu oil field, Elijah Hon Top, Timothy Tabang Juch, Kuony War Jock and rests.

Nonetheless, the destruction of Nuer society came as a result of politicians, commanders in military ranks, and civil population support side by side to an extent that reaches some physical confrontation between factions.
There is political injustice result in human right violence within Nuer Society that are always raised and committed by Nuer politicians as well as military commanders.

In this regard, I would like to write this article criticize and condemn those factions within SPLM/A-IO like SPLM/A- IO of Duer Tut Duer, SPLM/A-IO Dr.Machar in Juba and SPLM/A-IO of 1st Lt gen.Simon Gatwech Dual.

However, the movement is one and I call upon all Nuer intellectual youth, elders, religious leaders and white army to remain united and disregard all those aforesaid factions of IO.
Those who may argue and try to deny this fact in a sense that would be described as short sighted of an individual who want to increase the much suffering of our innocent people.

Our community bewildered and summed up as a community of destruction and looters because of the dirty politics of those who called politicians and brave military generals because Nuer politicians have been caused a countless violence against Nuer society and set as tools for destroying Nuer golden history.

And to start my point of view, Nuer had used in any course by others for centuries, simply because they didn’t see beyond what happening now.
The only Nuer that people need is the good fighter when enemy confront with other country.

As for modern Nuer politicians aren’t aiming to solve societal issues instead of divide rule and hatred.
They don’t even sit down and discuss Nuer matters as sons and daughters of the land.

The current Nuer politicians know for money and position followed by defection after losing both.
For how long we are going to manipulate?
Why we have been set against ourselves?
What benefits we are going to get after finishing ourselves?
We use to kills our important people after we told to do so, and dumped tomorrow when the enemies achieved their terror missions.

For examples!

In 1984, in Bilpham, Lt Col. Samuel Gai Tut Kulang was killed by Nuer sons who were set against him by John Garang.
Do we think right?
Therefore, we have done enough destruction and shame to our society.

Coming to August 3rd, 2021 SPLA-IO declaration made by chief of gen staff 1st Lt Gen.Simon Gatwech Dual in Maganis HQRS, it is heartbreaking news for Nuer that I believe to trigger mass destruction on our people if we don’t calculate it well.

The challenges facing our community are greater than ever before. Because Nuer politicians, military commanders, intellectual youth, religious leaders, and women association in urban cities do not change their way of thinking and focus on what should be done to stop break away from #IO and allies with the enemy of yesterday, instead of uniting themselves to rehabilitate the damages, injustice, insecurity, poverty, diseases and save the environment as an enormous pain that we are inflicting ourselves, our beloved society will be shrink and reduced to an extent and that is what the enemy wants to achieve so far.
If we don’t leave our differences and Nuer shall remain the poorest community for centuries.

Now we need to sit down and call upon #Gat_Dual and #Gat_Machar to compromise for sake of the Nuer community aspiration.

I worry that whenever political dissatisfaction is aroused among politicians and military commanders, they usually retreated and recruit their sectional kinfolks to back them up and help them to secure their positions to achieve whatsoever they want to achieve.

Please take a looks from the inception of SPLM/A in 1983, Nuer were adopted to bad behavior in Ethiopia between the late hero Lt Col. Samuel Gai Tut Kulang and the late John Garang de Mabior.
As early as the movement was formed, CDR John Garang set CDR William Nyuon Bany and CDR John Kolang Puot against Lt Col.Samuel Gai, William Chuol Deng and Akuot Atem.
This followed by SPLM/A Nasir declaration in 1991 and by then, our Nuer politicians were set against Dr. Riek Machar.

In Dec 15th, 2013, Lt Gen. Gathoth Mai was set against Dr. Machar in Juba and dumped in 2014.

In July 8th, 2016, Gen. Taban Deng Gai , Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, plus many others were set against Nuer in Juba that resulted to J1 dogfight.

Now we have several defectors like Gen. Koang Chuol Ranley, Gen. Duer Tut Duer, SPLA-IO Maganis HQRS and SPLM/A-IO in Juba, Nuer are also set against each other.

For how long we will be used against one another?
The list is long, but mention a few; are we thinking?
Do Gen. Kuol Manyang’ words find their meaning now?
When he said that, they wasted money for Uganda soldiers who are not good fighters as Nuers.

So they have been using nation, your money, my money, the oil money our beautiful land (Bentiu, Putloch Kiier Kaker) to bribe Nuer in the very beginning of the civil war, then war would have been finished already if we didn’t behaviors like that.

Now is the time for Nuer to raise up for change from all course of actions to realize our unity as paramount.

Now is the time to seek Nuer privacy to deal with our own problems and solve them amicably,
And let us learn from the past events to setup a free room in our hearts for peace.

Now is the time to Nuer to safe Nuer lives in UN at Juba, Bor, Malakal, Bentiu, Waat, Nasir, Fangak, Maiwut, and Pagak.

As I speak, many Nuer are in neighboring countries like Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan, Uganda, DRC, Egypt and diasporas and yet Nuer politicians, military, and commanders, soldiers and high intellectuals do not thinks on how our unity can be achieved.

So let our priority be sustainable development of this great society and make peace with all South Sudanese in order to live in harmony
