JUBA – A senior member of the Jieng Council of Elders (JCE) is urging President Salva Kiir Mayardit to move away from what he calls dictatorship to liberal democracy saying it is not too late for the SPLM to rescue itself.

Aldo Ajou Deng Akuey, a senior member of the tribal group said the SPLM needs to consider reforms from Boma to national level.

“Fears are being expressed by the leaders of the SPLM, telling the world that “we have failed!” Sound good enough, since the chaos and mounting insecurity threaten the national livelihood,” he wrote.

“It is not too late if the SPLM pulls itself together, from Buma to national level and revisits its national achievements, changes its politico-militarism and converts to liberalism in order to lead the change from dictatorship to liberal democracy and the rule of law,” he added.

The senior JCE official said President Salva Kiir Mayardit need to call for a meeting of the SPLM National Liberation Council before no later than May 2021 in order to reorganize and modernize the ruling party.

“The Chairman of the SPLM, Salva Kiir Mayardit, should call the Liberation Council, not latter than April/May 2021, reorganizes the Party in order coop up with modernization of the political land escapes,” he said.

“Rebellions by the SPLM leaders must be contained and stopped because it is overdue. The SPLM is fully being infiltrated by the main enemies of our country, through the SPLM IO and members of the defunct NCP, escaping their political heat from Khartoum, Sudan.

“SPLM can continue and re-emerges strong, determines to win the expected general elections in 2024, God willing. In this ongoing R-ARCSS, it’s R-TGoNU, Presidency and States Governments, the SPLM executive positions must be filled by its competent leaders.

“As we speak, the SPLM is being intentionally infiltrated and weakened. Let’s take charge of our party, build liberal democracy and stop disorganized political emigrants for good.”

    Uncle Aldo Ajou Deng Akuey.
You sound right but who will listening for your advice? President Salva Kiir Mayardit have been working with the late Chairman Dr.John Garang and he would have learned from the late Chairman and do things right just like Dr. John Garang.

The President has to be told to Delegate his presidency to someone who has education and experience. He was supposed to be the one who said this because the country had mess up under his leadership and continued doing nothing. If he doesn’t delegate to Dr. Nhial Deng Nhial then, he can hand it to anyone qualify to be president.

It is true that, the SPLM Party has been hjack by the members of the NCp and the President is the one who give them authority otherwise, the SPLM Party would have different shape than this messes. Uncle Aldo Ajou Deng, you are absolutely right the SPLA and SPLM was not fighting in order to adopted the Military dictatorship government but they fought with Sudanese government in order to make South Sudan nation as a purely Democracy system and good governance and good development in place.

Yes, it is not too late for the SPLM Party to reunite and tells the citizens that, they were wrong and asking forgiveness and I think the South Sudanese people will accepted that and move on to puts things in the right places at the right time and right direction. President Kiir Mayardit need to understand that, the South Sudanese people don’t want a dictatorship government this is they fought for 22 years. We need a sincerely and honest leader who listening to us and do what the people wanted to be done but not militarism and not dictatorship government.

Mr president, I know your wrong elements/Advisors will mislead you by asking you to arrest or push out those key members of SPLM who went protesting as a result of the wrong direction the party is heading to , but that would be a dangerous advise to accept, those protesting are really the politicians and Generals who love you and the entire nation whom you must sit with amicably to find a solution to this issue. in real sense, the hijackers who came in to this government without sweating and efforts exerted in the liberation struggle are driving you and this country in to a situation they do not care about at all. Please do not look at those that tell you and the nation what is not going well with your government as bad and people who hate you, no, they are the best advisors to you and we expect you to listen to them and initiate some necessary adjustments in the government.

Those who just appreciate you and your government and always laugh/worship at everything you and your government do/say even when there are wrong things are just wrong elements and with no vision for this nation. I appeal to you to consider sitting with your frustrated Party members who are nowadays not happy in any way and share all these issues and come up with new energy and new framework for this party and the country it’s ruling.

those you do not tell you what went wrong about the government are only there to eat and not serving this country with spirit of nationalism and should be asked to sit on the bench for sometime.

    thanks
