South Sudan defeats Egypt after qualifying for 2023 World Cup

South Sudan on Sunday defeated Egypt in yet another win after qualifying for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

JUBA, FEBRUARY 26th 2023 (SUDANS POST) – South Sudan on Sunday defeated Egypt in yet another win after qualifying for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

The match played in the Egyptian city of Alexandria handed South Sudan a 97–77 win against Egypt who has also qualified for the world cup.

South Sudan on Friday defeated Senegal 83–75 to qualify for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

It joined Ivory Coast who qualified during the previous window of the campaign.

Power forward Nuni Omot led South Sudan with a team-high 26 points to go with 8 rebounds and 4 assists.

Shooting guard Bul Kuol (12 points) and center Koch Deng Aguer Bar (11 points) came in handy on the historic afternoon.
