The delegation, ministry of information said, comprises of members of various parties to the revitalized peace agreement and include information minister Michael Makuei Lueth, minister of higher education Changson Lew Chang, army chief General Santino Deng Wol and peace-building minister Par Kuol.
“A delegation headed by the Minister of cabinet Affairs Dr. Martin Elia Lomuro is in Rwandan capital Kigali participating in Senior Leadership post-conflict peace-building course organized by the Reconstituted Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission,” the ministry of information said in a statement seen by Sudans Post.
“The team comprised of parties to the Revitalized Agreement for the resolution of the conflict in South Sudan and senior military officers,” the ministry of information said in the statement Monday.
“While in Kigali the delegation toured some of the important institutions such as Rwandan disarmament, demobilization and reintegration commission,” it added.
Information minister and government spokesman Michael Makuei Lueth said “South Sudan would benefit from the experiences of Rwandan DDR Commission in preparing combatants for future life.”
