In a statement extended to Sudans Post, the ministerial decision confirming Gattiek as the executive director was made today by the minister who also named a new press secretary, a new private secretary, and a new inspector of IT.
“Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hon. Pal Mai Deng has restructured his office and appointed Mr. Gattiek Gatkuoth Wichar as an Executive Director in the office of the Minister after serving as an acting for five months,” the statement reads in part.
The minister appointed Chuol Bol Liem as the private secretary, Sebit Kuol Dhol as the press secretary, and Chol Makuach as the information technology assistant. The statement further said that the appointments were effective immediately.
Gattiek is a member of the SPLM-IO and served as the press secretary in the office of the minister of water resources and irrigation during late minister Manawa Peter Gatkuoth Gual’s days in office.
Since Mai’s appointment, Gattiek has reportedly been working on an interim basis as the executive director.
