South Sudan launches online portal for issuance of work permits

South Sudan's minister of labour and public service has announced, General James Hoth Mai, has announced that the government has launched an online portal for issuance of work permit for foreigners.

JUBA – South Sudan’s minister of labour and public service has announced, General James Hoth Mai, has announced that the government has launched an online portal for issuance of work permit for foreigners.

“The ministry of labor is please to inform the public in South Sudan that the work permit will be processed online and it is mandatory,” James Hoth who is previously the chief of staff of the country’s army announced Friday.

“As a ministry we want to make sure that we give the best services to our people where it can fit you. Today we don’t want to border people again coming, walking with papers and so many things,” he added.

The website which is accessible HERE is an addition to an already existing number of online services which include the issuance of visas, Tax Identification Number, and application for national identification numbers.
