JUBA – South Sudan’s Reconstituted Transitional National Government of National Unity (R-TNLA) has today started working following the opening of its first session this morning by President Salva Kiir Mayardit.
The R-TNLA was reconstituted in May followed by the Council of States in July. It consists of 550 politicians drawn from the parties to the revitalized peace agreement with President Salva Kiir’s group having the lion’s share of over 300 lawmakers.
President Salva Kiir Mayardit in his speech to the parliament called on the lawmakers to put the interest of the country and those they represent above their interests.
