JUBA – South Sudan has increased fees for nationality, passports, visas, and other immigration services, effective December 16, 2024.

Simon Majur Pabek, Director-General of Civil Registry, Nationality, Passports and Immigration, announced the new fees in a circular seen by Sudans Post.

The revised costs were approved by the parliament in the national fiscal budget.

“Reference is made to the circular No. RSS/SSRA/CG/SPECIAL/VOL.1/104 dated 3/12/2024, you are (to) abide by the Financial Act 2024-25 to be implemented as approved by the Revitalized Transitional National Legislative Assembly,” the circular partly reads.

The Financial Act will take immediate effect from December 16, 2024. All immigration visa and passport fees or charges indicated in U.S. dollars should be charged at the Central Bank’s prevailing rate or its equivalent.

Pabek urged relevant government institutions both domestically and internationally to implement the order promptly.

An adult’s regular passport now costs $100, a minor’s regular passport costs $50, a business passport costs $400, a diplomatic passport costs $200, while official, special, lost, and unused passports cost $100 each.

A single-entry visa for other countries apart from the USA costs $100, a single-entry visa for American citizens costs $160, a three-month multiple regional visas costs $125, a three-month multiple visa for other countries costs $200, and a six-month multiple regional and other countries’ visa costs $350.
