Simon Majur Pabek, Director-General of Civil Registry, Nationality, Passports and Immigration, announced the new fees in a circular seen by Sudans Post.
The revised costs were approved by the parliament in the national fiscal budget.
“Reference is made to the circular No. RSS/SSRA/CG/SPECIAL/VOL.1/104 dated 3/12/2024, you are (to) abide by the Financial Act 2024-25 to be implemented as approved by the Revitalized Transitional National Legislative Assembly,” the circular partly reads.
The Financial Act will take immediate effect from December 16, 2024. All immigration visa and passport fees or charges indicated in U.S. dollars should be charged at the Central Bank’s prevailing rate or its equivalent.
Pabek urged relevant government institutions both domestically and internationally to implement the order promptly.
