JUBA – The spokesman of the Sudan People’s Liberation Army in Opposition (SPLA-IO) Brigadier General William Gatjiath Deng has said that he has been assigned on an important mission to the capital Juba.

William Gatjiath has remained outside the capital Juba since the signing of the revitalized peace agreement and has criticized the way the government is reluctant to implement the peace agreement.

In a statement, he said he has been called to Juba by the SPLA-IO leadership and said he is travelling to Juba.

“The Office of the Spokesperson for SPLA (IO), would like to inform the entire supporters of the People’s movement, wherever they are, also the army’s leadership in all Sectors, Divisions, Brigades, and Battalions that, I have been called to Juba by the leadership for an official mission,” Gatjiath said in a statement extended to Sudans Post.

He added that “we shall still in touch while I am on mission.”
