JUBA — South Sudan’s main armed opposition group, SPLM-IO, has alleged that government security operatives in Juba are are killing their members in Juba, according to a statement.
In the statement, Colonel Lam Paul Gabriel said a meeting of the Joint Defense Board (JDB) chaired by its co-chair General Gabriel Duop Lam who is also the SPLA-IO chief of staff was held on Wednesday in Juba in which General Duop informed the board of lack of progress in the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement.
“The SPLA-IO noted the lack of progress in the implementation of the security arrangement as the JDB is still waiting for the Principals to give directives on issues to do with Unification of Command at all levels of the army, National Security, police, prison, wildlife and civil defence Services; follow by the long awaited graduation and deployment of the forces across theNation,” he said
“There are also concerns about the lack of food, medicines and shelters in the training centers and cantonment sites. Some training centers such as Tugugiya and Morota are also affected by flood and insecurity respectively,” the statement added.
He added that the group has also raised concerns over the deteriorating security situation in Juba in which government security operatives have kept assassinating members of the SPLA-IO in the capital.
“The SPLA-IO also noted the deteriorating security situation in Juba where SPLM/A –IO officials are being targeted, arrested and even shot at by security Agents of the SPLM -IG. This is not only an intentional violation but also a provocation of the highest order which is intended to derail the peace agreement,” the statement said.
While calling on government security forces to refrain from those actions, the main armed opposition group urged the peace guarantors to intervene to stop what it says could jeopardize the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement.
“The command of the SPLA-IO is urging the SSPDF and the National Security to exercise restrain to those agents working against the implementation of the peace agreement,” it said.
“The SPLA-IO also calls on the RJMEC, IGAD, Guarantors and the International Community to intervene and investigate these violations of the R-ARCSS,” the statement added.
It further said the main armed opposition group “remains committed to the Implementation of the Transitional Security Arrangement for a lasting peace in the County.”

I don’t know if these are facts, if they at they were facts, then Mr. Riek Machar and his wife Angelina Ajany should be the ones targeted for murder, because, they are not working South Sudan, but for foreign employers. In South Sudan, we have a long away to stability. There are a lot people out South Sudan mostly here in the region, of IGAD and the African Union (the AU) their masters in *the US, the UK, their UN, their sleazy NGOs, their UNMISS of: Indians, Pakistanis, Nepalese, Bangladeshis, Sri Lankans and other pieces of trash around who think, our country and our people would always be used as experiment every ten [10] years.
And of our lowly informed elders are behind this mess. South Sudan was the most ‘ripped’ for the so-called UN NEW WORLD ORDER, GOVERNMENT WITHOUT BORDERS or the so-called AFRICAN UNITY and REGIONAL INTEGRATION.
Some south Sudanese always like to and sign things without first study the benefits and interest for signing those entities. Of course South Sudan is a East country, South Sudanese some South Sudanese speak Arabic than even Arab themselves.

Juba is a Baria country, they think, their country is being taken over ‘by the Jenges’ The government of South Sudan, should be ‘Ramciel now’. But other things, went the way. Even if South government is taken to Ramciel, some Muonyjiengs/Jaangs/Jenges/Dinkas’ Aliab, Ciec, Atuot Abangbaar, Agaar and communities here in Bor, East bank of the Nile will say, their country is being taken over rubbishes.
Juba has the facilities than other states.The issue of land here is in South Sudan a mater life death. The Barias land is not being taken free of Charge, some government of South Sudan areas in Juba, have not been to paid to Baria community. They are not Muonyjiengs/Jaangs/Jenges/Dinkas’ facilities anyway.>>>>
Well, the Spokesman for the SPLA I0 colonel Lam Paul Gabriel must be held accountable if he is spreading lies. He said, the security operative is assassinating the members of the SPLA I0. The government need to investigate this racial Spokesman of the SPLA I0 and if it is false claims then, he must be arrested and dismissed from airing wrong information.
